Director's Comments

The main focus of our program is studying other cultures through art, music, and folktales. Approximately 7 different cultures are studied throughout the year. In addition, the children act out folktales and perform a dramatic play.

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
Enhancement activities, including art, music, dance, and Spanish are offered to children.

Parent #2
Music in main auditorium; Spanish once a week

Parent #3
The whole school will spend 2-3 weeks on a particular 'subject', usually culturally based. Past subjects have been Africa, China, American Indians, Great Artists, Fairy Tales. Most of the 'curriculum' is embedded in whatever the the subject is. The stories, poems, songs, artwork, and music all center around the subject. Usually the subject culminates in a school-wide play, festival, or exhibition that parents and children participate in.

Parent #4
An in-school dance, movement and sound class is offered for children ages 3 and up.

Parent #5
What curriculum?
