"People and People No Matter How Small."

Children are simply people in little bodies. At Riviera PlaySchool, the most important skills we impart and nurture are social and emotional intelligence. The cornerstone of our program is NVC (www.CNVEP.com). All of our teachers are trained in this way of being. With patient and gentle guidance, we help our children come to a place where they are able to resolve their own conflicts, develop empathy, and make connections with skills that will serve them throughout their life. We do not use punishment, time-out, or even manipulative cajoling to control our children. We simply use reason. That is why our incredibly attentive ratio of 1:4 is the maximum we can allow. Often it is better than that -- anything less would not work.

Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
