Application Process

Applications are accepted: Sept. 15 - jan. 15 of preceding year

Parent visits tours are: Recommended

Child interview process: In the spring, enrolled children will visit the school in small groups. This serves as their introduction to BHNS and is helpful to the school in class placement decisions.

Parent interview process: The associate director or the administrative assistant will contact families to schedule a visit to the school upon receipt of application. These visits take place beginning in the fall through early winter. The visits consist of a tour of the school, an opportunity to observe in a classroom and an interview with the executive director and the associate director.

Acceptance criteria: Selective based on beacon hill nursery school seeks a balance in terms of age and sex in each classroom and strives to build a community rich in diversity. while siblings of current students, former students, and children of alumni are given special consideration in admissions, as are residents of beacon hill, many new families, with no previous relationship to the school join the bhns community each year. Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
