Admissions Process
| Acceptance criteria: "This year, in an effort to make the admissions process equitable and open to as many interested community families as possible, we revised our customary application procedure. It is likely we will use the same procedures in Fall 2006: Applications may be requested by phone between September 11-29. A lottery method will be used to select the applicants who will proceed with a school tour or open house and the rest of the application process. Applicants' names will be entered into a lottery which will take place in mid-October. Parents of those applicants whose names are selected will be invited to see the school in late Oct or Nov. In January and February the children will visit the school for a small-group 'playdate' with a parent. Letters of notification will be mailed in early March, according to dates to be set by the Independent School Admissions Assoc. of Greater NY (ISAAGNY)." Extracted from preschool website based on sibling priority |
Notification occurs: Letters of notification will be mailed in early March, according to dates to be set by the Independent School Admissions Assoc. of Greater NY (ISAAGNY). BUT NOTE Applications for siblings, children of alumni, and First Presbyterian Church members who have joined the Church by Jan. 1, 2006, may also be requested by phone between Sept. 12-30. When these applications are received, families will be contacted to schedule a school tour or open house. These applicants are eligible for Early Notification which they may elect in December. Playdate visits for families who elect early notification will take place in January and their early notification letters will be mailed at the end of January. Please note that early notification does not guarantee admission. (from website) |
