People come from all over to learn about the gray whales that migrate past the Oregon coast each year.
Parks
The end of December marks the time that a migrating grey whale pod passed by Oregon's coast. A quick trip out to the beach may result in amazing sitings of these whales. There are 26 locations along the coast where volunteers are available from 10:00 to 1:00 to help you spot the whales and educate you and your kiddos about the lives of the grey whales.
Of course, Oregon also has a pod of resident grey whales who live off of the coast year round. Once you've learned the tips on how best to find them, you can try to see them during every season!
