The Audubon Society opens its doors for this once-a-year event to give guided tours of the facility where the Society cares for so many injured birds. You can meet each of the Center's residents, including a new American Kestrel that is being rehabilitated by caring veterinarians and volunteers. Kids can take part in an Art Show, draw their favorite bird and then see their beautiful picture on the Society's website! After the tour, your kids may want to take a quick hike down to the Society's pond, where there is a covered shelter and table for picnicking. The pond is also home to sun-bathing turtles, ducks, and sometimes even swimming newts! It's a wildlife extravaganza for your budding scientists and environmentalists!
