Word on the Street
Don't be fooled by the name "Victorian Gardens." It's not yet another bountiful botanical experience. In fact, the Victorian Gardens is actually more like the state fair, only without all the livestock and sideshows (unless you count the Central Park Zoo, located right near it). The Gardens offers games, rides and other entertainment such as live music, clowns and more, all with the pint-sized consumer in mind. Tickets are sold individually or in a day-long pass and are a separate cost from the entry fee. Games are generally three tickets a pop while rides are generally two tickets. Children under 36 inches are free with a paying adult. the Gardens are seasonal, so they close shop during the Winter months. With myriad forms of entertainment and an all-inclusive package, this spot is ideal for birthday parties.Pic courtesy of milst1 on flickr.
