Rick Miller, the owner of Day Frog
, has a great deal of pride in his recently opened indoor play space in the Streeterville neighborhood -- and it shows. This newcomer to the indoor play space scene has received rave reviews from parents and kids alike.Day Frog is a 4,000 square foot facility located in an office building at 233 East Erie (it is so inconspicuous that you might miss it) and is open every day of the year except for July 4th. Day Frog is designed for children age six and under and features two large slides, a pretend kitchen, an infants-only play area, train tables, costumes, and ride-on cars, amongst other activities. Admission for the first child is $15, siblings are $11 and adults and babies under one are free. Day Frog also offers finger painting and a kitchen area for kids to enjoy snacks and drinks from home.Day Frog is very clean and toys are steam-cleaned every night.Another nice feature of Day Frog is the involved staff. Staff interacts with the children, encourages little ones to come over to try out the activities and picks up stray toys to keep the space tidy.Day Frog prides itself on its extended hours (open till 7:00 or 8:00 p.m.) and offers a $3 discount if you arrive 90 minutes prior to closing to cater to working parents. If you are spending the whole day in the area or live nearby, you can also take advantage of the "in/out" privileges at no extra cost and make a return visit on the same day.Use public transportation if possible. Parking rates in this neighborhood will really add to the expense of your trip. Check out the website
