Word on the Street

With a combination of indoor and outdoor exhibits and activities, the King Center is a great spot to visit nearly any time of year.  The museum, bookstore, Freedom Walkway, the King home, and Ebenezer Baptist Church are all within close walking distance of each other.  Some of the indoor exhibits are geared specifically to children, but there is so much more for them to enjoy. To tour the inside of King's birth home on Auburn Avenue, you must register for a guided tour at the visitor center when you arrive.  Tours are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and they fill up quickly on weekends and holidays.  Tours of the home are limited to 15 people to keep the experience more personal.Admission and parking are free, making spontaneous visits (and repeat visits) easy and enjoyable.
