Word on the Street

Whether blistering hot, freezing cold, or more temperate, it is always a perfect temperature to see nature indoors thanks to The United States Botanical Garden.  Admire flora from above on the conservatory catwalk, trip trap Three Billy Goats Gruff style over the conservatory’s bridge, get sprayed by the misters in the orchid room, or pitch pennies in the Garden Court’s fountain.  On weekdays the garden is rarely crowded providing nice places for kids to roam and get up close to the plants that they find most interesting.  Even on weekends the garden is never too packed. If you happen to visit during the holidays, don't miss the model train display at the entrance and replicas of the monuments made out of organic materials in the main conservatory.
