Word on the Street

Will Rogers State Historic Park isn't your typical park. First of all, it doesn't have a playground structure. Even so, it is a nice place to take your child. When you get to the park grounds, head to the polo fields. It is an expansive field which is perfect for kicking around a soccer ball, flying a kite, or having a picnic lunch with friends. It is also a great place to plan an egg hunt for Easter. On weekends from April through October, polo matches are played on the large grassy field. If you go during the weekday, visit the restored Ranch house or take a hike through the expansive grounds. There is plenty of free parking. On a day when it is just too beautiful to stay indoors, visit Will Rogers.
