So Many Ways to Play Math

We've been playing math here at Being Savvy for the past one, two, three weeks, and have discovered that the ways in which small children learn about math are simply too many to count. Math learning possibilities are everywhere. We have found the magic of math...

...in everyday routines and play as well as books about numbers.

...in toys that teach matching, patterns and sequences.

...in songs and in Savvy parent-devised activities.

...in measuring our kids' growing selves.

...in puzzles and blocks, and pennies too.

...in the numbers 'round a clock face.

...in a cool vintage counting book.

...and in creative problem-solving and imaginative play.

Where do you and your little ones find math fun and learning?
