60 Things To Do This Summer

Last summer, our Savvy team made a list of 50 things we wanted to do with our kids during our precious days of summer vacation. This year, I thought I would update you on what our family did and didn't manage to do last summer. 

  1. Go to the beach (X)
  2. Have a backyard campout (  )
  3. Build a fort (X)
  4. Fly a kite (X)
  5. Go to a drive-in movie (  )
  6. Write a story (  )
  7. Have a picnic (X)
  8. Have a pajama day (  )
  9. Plant flowers (X)
  10. Make a magazine collage (  )
  11. Make homemade lemonade (  )
  12. Play a board game (X)
  13. Work on a new sport (X)
  14. Build a model (  )
  15. Collect seashells (X)
  16. Melt crayons (  )
  17. Have lunch at work with dad (  )
  18. Make a fancy cake (X)
  19. Visit the cemetery (  )
  20. Go on a hike (X)
  21. Play miniature golf (  )
  22. Paint our own pottery (  )

That adds up to 28 out of 50. More than half—not bad!

Here are a few things we did that were not on the list:

And here are some things we'd like to add to our list:

56.   Go sightseeing in our town (  )

60.   Visit a friend who lives far away (  )
