Activity Detail
A great way to pass time at the doctor's office or in restaurants is to take out all of your change and have your child sort the coins by kind, size and color. They can stack them, create shapes with them, count them etc. If you have a cup or container with you, you can also have your child toss the coins. (Of course, you'll want to make sure they are past the point of putting them in their mouths-- It can be a choking hazard.)
