Dress Up and Learn

ages 4-6

Supplies

Any clothing, accessories or props from your local thrift store that are appropriate for where you will be going; and a sense of adventure.

Activity Detail

This is a great interactive way for kids to learn about people or events. Choose a local museum or art gallery, then take a trip to your local thrift shop and choose clothing, accessories and props that are applicable to where you will be going. For example, if your museum has a great portrait collection, you might look for a fancy hat or suit jacket. If you're going to the natural history museum, you might look for an "explorer" hat or "archaeologist" hat. You might even create a story about who you are and where you are going. Dress up and head out for fun and learning.
