The Little People line is so great for imaginary play. My kids love to set up entire worlds with the Little People and an airplane is just the way to get around from place to place!

In preparation for a flight to visit Grandma and Grandpa, we purchased this plane. We role played the expected events with our daughter so she could be comfortable and not scared by the unexpected. It worked like a charm and she was an excellent traveler. She still pretends to fly to Grandma's house!

This is what my son is asking for for Christmas this year. We have several other Little People toys. They are all realistic, yet fun and simple with lots of room for imaginative play.

we live in a home with a regular flight path right over it. which means we see a lot of planes. and early on, i noticed that most of the plane toys were meant for older children. so i was delighted when i found this one.

This is one of our family favorites! The recordings are cute and fun and the people move along when the plane rolls. It helps inspire airplane noises of take-off and landing. When we are getting ready to travel, we always use the plane to show what's going to happen to help my daughter understand the concept of flying. It's great for boys and girls and, as always, the little people are interchangeable with the other products!

This comes in a pink and a white version. We have the white one and my son has the little "high and low" song memorizied. He stuffs things in it and has it going to far off places. You can't go wrong with Little People generally, and is the case for this toy. I love that the pilot is a woman!

I'm reluctant to recommend anything that makes the same three or four sounds over and over again until you are tempted to throw it out a nearby window, as this does, but this really is a fun toy. It comes with a pilot and a couple of vacationers (we've named them Paula, Lola and Kevin) and is great for inspiring pretend play. And for practicing your airplane noises to drown out the canned singing.
