The Miracles of Passover

by Josh Hanft and Seymour Chwast

For ages 3+ years

We feel your pain. The only plague you can reliably remember is the locusts, because you just can't shake the image. You remember vividly the cute part of the Moses story with the baby floating down the river, but you can't quite get him from there to the big-time role taking on the pharaoh. You can remember at best four of the components of a seder plate, and they all seem to commemorate the same thing when you start to explain it. It's a epic story with more detail than the average parent can retell convincingly without some prep. This is the book for you. It's an engagingly written and illustrated tale, chock full of illustrations and (a-ha!) lift-the-flap elements, and it's got absolutely all the key details laid out for you. Skim it once yourself, and then dive in with the little darlings and watch their eyes widen through this amazing story of kings and princesses, bugs and bread, and the other childhood fave, oppression and freedom.
