Piano
by Schoenhut
For ages 2+ years
Fans of Peanuts fondly remember the hilarious image of Schroeder bent over his miniature grand piano, churning out Beethoven and fending Lucy off at the same time. If you'd like to recreate that scene at home with your own children, this well-made mini-piano from Scheonhut will get you started (the company actually makes a child-size grand as well). Not all preschoolers are quite ready for Beethoven, but they will at the very least have a fabulous time banging away to a tune all their own. As a guide to small fingers, the piano comes with a removable color strip indicating the notes, as well as a simple beginner's songbook. Without any electronic bells and whistles to distract, this little piano allows children to practice basic playing skills while entertaining themselves and anyone who will listen at the same time.
