Band Set

by Melissa and Doug

For ages 3+ years

If you've ever come home from a toddler music class and wanted to continue the fun at home, here is your easy answer. This collection of well-made instruments includes a recorder, kazoo, harmonica, jingle stick, xylophone, and castanets - in short, everything a preschooler needs to begin experimenting with sound and rhythm. Parents will be drawn into the noise-making fun as well, and when friends come over to play, there's an instrument for everyone!

My son loves to play with this- he too will divy up the instrumets and then have us all play together. It's not the quietest of toys, but it's one he has been enjoying for a long time.

I love percussion instruments for kids and I think they are fantastic for a number of reasons. They help with fine motor skills and encourage rhythm and other music skills. As a music teacher I can tell which kids are able to play with instruments at home. Just be prepared for the noise.

We have had this set for about a year, and it's still something my son uses several times a week. The instruments have withstood a lot of toddler abuse, and there are plenty of different instruments to go around, if you have regular family jam sessions like we do!
