If you want to celebrate Irish Day with a parade and arts & crafts festival, a 2 hour drive NW of Nashville will get you to where you want to be on March 20, 2010. The 48th Annual Irish Day Celebration (Wearin' of the Green) will be held on that day in Erin, TN.
Attendees can enjoy a parade starting at 11:00am (can you spot the leprechaun?), bagpipe and other musical performances, vendor shopping booths, arts & crafts exhibits, animal rides, a petting zoo, and inflatable play equipment. (My son would attend solely for the latter.)
If you're too tired to go straight home, there are plenty of places to lodge.
Don't forget to wear your green!
