Follow the adventures of Lucy, Edmund, Peter, and Susan, along with the White Witch, Mr. Tumnus, and of course: Aslan. Northwest Children's Theater makes this first edition of the Chronicles of Narnia come alive with musical theater, engaging battles, and captivating costumes (the best part of all their productions!) The scenery draws you into a magical world of strange creatures and wintery adventures that are perfect for a holiday theater experience. Make sure you plan ahead for parking, the theater's parking lot is very tiny, and circling the lot can eat into your pre-show time. If you take Tri-Met, you can enjoy the afternoon without having to worry about logistics. Snacks are available for reasonable prices, and characters are available for a meet and greet in the lobby after the play. If this production is any indication, hopefully subsequent Chronicles of Narnia will follow!
Because this production is best suited for children ages six and older, you may want to make plans to occupy your littlest ones and take your older children to experience Northwest Children's Theater's "Narnia." (However, if you've already read this series with your late preschool/kindergarten age child and they are completely enraptured with the tales of C.S. Lewis, you might be the best judge of compatibility.)The play clocks in at nearly two and a half hours, so keep that in mind when deciding who to bring.
