Event Information

The Milkshake concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Strathmore Arts Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Outdoor concerts are a great way to introduce young children to music. The concert will be held outdoors. Bring blankets or low beach chairs. No pets.

Come early for dinner on the lawn before the show. Food will be available, including BBQ ribs, pulled pork, veggie burgers, hot dogs, side dishes, desserts, soda, water, beer, and wine for purchase at the BBQ Shack.

The Milkshake concert begins at 7PM, but the entertainment begins at 5:30PM with a Mini Street Festival. Check out mime Mark Jaster and and clowning expert Sabrina Mandell as they combine "outrageous acrobatics and hyper-advanced communication skills with honest, gentle humor and playful interaction, obliterating many a skeptic’s antipathy toward mime." Experience the crafty clowning of Ambush Theater's performance artists and comedian-juggler Michael Rosman and chalk artists from Exit Studios.

Milkshake is a fun first rock band experience for your child. Milkshake, a Baltimore-based band, features a lead singer (Lisa), a drummer, a lead guitarist, a bass guitarist, and two other instrumentalists. Rock songs about food, baseball, pirates, and being happy are sure to appeal to kids and parents alike!
