Event Information

A giant inflatable tick greets visitors as they peruse the creepy, crawling, blood-sucking world of parasites and sanguinivores, or creatures that eat blood, at the Delaware Museum of Natural History.  Family activities and live animal displays will delight kids who are fascinate with all things bug and gore.  Learn how mosquitoes track their prey.  View a vampire bat, a preserved sea lamprey, and learn about vampire moths, fish and birds from the Galapagos who love to suck on blood.  If that's not enough to turn your stomach, check out the live leeches who snack on blood from local slaughterhouse.  Delicious!
