Event Information

Adapted from "Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens, this beloved musical comes to our stage for the first time ever in 2011! Oliver is a bright young lad who lives in a workhouse with other orphaned children.  Upset with the way he is treated, Oliver runs away and meets the Artful Dodger who recruits him to pick pockets for Fagin, a kind, yet slightly sinister, gentleman. While working for Fagin, Oliver finds a friend in Nancy, a lovable young woman who worries about sensitive little Oliver and begins to question the life she has chosen for herself. When Oliver goes on his first pick-pocketing job, he is caught by the police. The man from which Oliver thieved, Mr. Brownlow, learns of Oliver's sad past and brings him into his own home. Meanwhile, Nancy's beau, the villainous Bill Sykes, worries that Oliver will tell Mr. Brownlow and the police where the thieves live. After a series of extraordinary events, Bill murders Nancy, but is shot and killed himself. Oliver and Mr. Brownlow - who turns out to be Oliver's great uncle - finally return safely home...as a family.
