Guess How Much I Love You

by Sam McBratney

For ages 1+ years

Preschoolers fairly bubble over with emotions, and mixed in with all of that frustration and occasional anger and jealousy and ugly stuff, the depth of their love, especially for the big people who take care of them, is almost indescribable. Except of course to the Little Nutbrown Hare in this exceptionally sweet story. He knows exactly how far his love goes, besting himself with every new description until he gets all the way to the moon. But we Big Nutbrown Hare types get the last word as we double that love all the way back, even if the parting shot is whispered into sleeping ears. You'll simply never wish to nestle your little bunny into his bed of leaves without this book.

I received this as a shower gift and read it to my son every night when he was a baby. It is one of those books that can take me back to those years when then were so small.

This book never fails to bring a tear to my eyes, and launch a wonderful game of who loves who more with my kids. The illustrations are beautiful too.

If you don't already have a copy of this book on your bookshelf, buy it now and give one to a friend. It is the perfect book to snuggle up and read with your little one! It shares a simple message about the depth of a parent's love that will be understood by even the littlest of the littles. Even the toughest parent will tear up the first time his child echoes the sentiment, "I love you all the way to the moon."

This is a perfect bedtime snuggle book. This book gets me teary eyed every time. But the love in the book and from my boys in return is worth it. One read is good for an entire week of them asking me, "Guess how much I love you?"

We curl up every night with a book, and this is one of our favorites. Bunnies are a big hit in our house, and the little â??competitionâ?? between the two bunnies in the book leads us to many silly â??competitionsâ?? of our own (I can hug you moreâ?¦I can make you laugh moreâ?¦). Any book that gets my kids thinking about creative, yet loving, ways to â??competeâ?? is great in my mind. And the extra hugs and giggles are a nice bonus.

I get misty eyed every time I read this book to my kids. It's a sweet, heartelt tale of a love between parent and child. The little bunny tries to top the love of Big Nutbrown hare and just can't top it. It's truly a classic and you'll love it every time you read it.

This is one of those books that every child must own at birth. Seriously, itâ??s a perfect first book, and even more perfect as your child latches on to the message and begins to associate it with his or her own feelings of big love. Sort of one of those special little books, a classic.

A book worth owning if only for the moment when your little darling walks up to you, arms outstretched, and says "Mommy, I love you this much!"

My little boys love to tell me how much they love me just like the Little Nutbrown Hare. Hearing those words always makes me tear up, just like the last page of this book.
