Kid-Tough Digital Camera

by Fisher Price

For ages 2-6 years

It is truly amazing to see the world through your child's eyes. When we hear our children retell a story, when we kneel to their height for a peek, when we listen to the tiny little noise that they notice and ask about, we are visiting their world. And when we take them on trips, big or small, we are widening that world. To help them remember what they say, and to help us remember how different things look for them, we recommend this wonderful digital camera. What a perspective it offers (at a price). Instead of watching her drop your own delicate camera into the tidepools, let your little one have her very own camera she can carry in her very own bag (novel concept, that...). Instead of developing lots of pictures of his own ankles from a 24-exposure film camera, let your little one take what he wishes and save only the ones you both like best from a 60-shot memory card. The software is easy to manage on both PCs and Macs, and there is no reading required to operate the camera's features.

$69.99

If this camera can stand up to the antics of my two year old then it can handle anything. Caroline loves to carry this thing around and snap pictures of the dog or the cat or her feet or, well, just about anything that gets in her way. A must for any kid who takes any interest in YOUR camera.

My daughter got this camera for her fifth birthday, and now, more than a year later, it continues to be a favorite toy. Easy to use and super-durable, this camera can withstand almost any calamity. It's true that the picture quality is not fantastic, but given the price, the durability and the ease of use, it's about as good as it gets in the world of kids' cameras. Choose red and blue or pink with flowers.

We got this camera for my son last Christmas and we have been really please with it. It is tough and while the pictures aren't great quality they are fine for a preschooler's camera. We enjoy seeing what he thinks are picture worthy.

Our daughter received this camera from her Grandpa for her third birthday. We were traveling a lot and it gave her a chance to capture it all. The camera is durable and great when friends are over!

My daughter received this camera as a gift two years ago and it is still one of her favorite things. With big hand grips and just a few big buttons, it is easy to operate. The picture quality isn't that good, but it doesn't seem to bother my daughter. We've taken more than one photo date -- me with my camera, her with hers -- and it's been a great way to share a love of photography with her!

When my second son was born, he "gave" this camera to his big brother as a gift. My older son had a wonderful time taking pictures of his baby brother just like everyone else was. It's incredibly durable and easy for kids to use. The picture quality isn't wonderful, but it will print small pictures decently and most importantly, my son has never been bothered by the quality.

I own a portrait photography business and my kids are quite used to the site of my face attached to a camera. Of course, they want to try whatever Mommy does but my expensive digital SLR camera is not quite up to the toddler treatment. We started out with a few disposable cameras for the boys, but that was a bit expensive. When I found this camera, I was thrilled and so were they. They love to take pictures of all their favorite things and people almost as much as they love the sound effects when they delete them! We've had this camera for 2 years and it still works great.
