Description:
Camp Sanguinity was established in 1979 by Dr. Tom Miale and Friends of Camp Sanguinity. The camp has grown from 37 campers in 1980 to 140 campers in 2003, with campers ranging from age 6 to 16. Additionally, a one day preschool camp for children ages 4 and 5 is also held each year. While children with cancer today face increasing odds of surviving cancer, they still face many unique challenges. Having cancer makes them different from other children, which can make it more difficult for them to relate to other children and take on new challenges.
