Mad Science of Austin & San Antonio Summer Camp

6120 US 290 West
Austin, TX 78735

Mad Science camps are designed for exciting fun hands-on science activities. Your child will become a junior scientist for the week, having the opportunity to experience a variety of science adventures. We use an inquiry-based technique that allows even the youngest camper to enjoy learning. Children will design, create, build and assemble a variety of interesting projects and will take at least one project home every day. We will provide everything your child will need. A snack and a non-carbonated drink (like Kool-Aid) will be provided. Children should dress comfortably and come ready to have some fun! Also, see

We are sorry that Mad Science was not a better fit for your children and we appreciate you sharing your feedback. Concerns that parents have are very important to us. We encourage parents to call us immediately if there is a concern so that we may respond as soon as possible and make any adjustments we can to accommodate the needs of our campers. The camp counselors in the camp you reference included a full time high school teacher and a medical student. Both have worked with Mad Science for a number of years. Our camps are primarily indoor camps; however we do go outside for some activities. The amount of time that we spend outside will vary depending on the weather and the type of camp. For example, a rocket camp would spend a significant amount of time launching rockets in comparison to a laboratory based camp. We often include active games to get the wiggles out inside the classroom when the temperature outside is particularly high.

terrible. nothing like the description. They sit in one room the entire day. They don't go outside at all. My kids were board and they were asking to not go back.
