Each week campers will participate in several unique programs and field trips designed just for our summertime friends:

Philly "Globe" Trotting With so many wonderful places nearby, our campers will be going on numerous field trips to places like The Franklin Institute, Planetarium & IMAX, The Philadelphia Zoo and The Natural Academy of Science. We'll also be taking part in events at the Free Library and Art Museum.

Cooking & Baking Campers will be learning to follow recipes for baking and cooking using exotic and ethnic ingredients. They will also be experimenting with "altering" or "leaving out" certain parts of the recipes to see how that changes the outcome.

From Garden to Table Campers will be growing several species of herbs, vegetables and fruit in our outdoor garden. The "fruits" of their labor will then be used throughout the summer as ingredients in cooking class to create special snacks for the group.

Keepsake Crafting Tie dye t-shirts, memory books, picture frames and jewelry are just a few of the things campers will be making as keepsakes. Many of our projects will be created using items from our recycle center and also from our natural environment.

Computer Learning At The Giving Tree we have 2 separate computer classrooms with games and learning programs designed for each specific age group. Our campers will be learning to paint, write and play memory games at an age appropriate level.

Gym Time GT Campers will love running around in our indoor gym. They can jump on the trampoline, flip on the uneven bars, dive in the ball pit or build a mat fort. With so many options, it's a great place to get their sillies out and escape from a rainy summer day.

Sensory Play In GT's sensory room, campers will be sculpting with clay, making their own handmade paper and building sandcastles in the indoor sandbox. The 4 sensory tables are alternated with items such as rice, water and mud to allow children to explore their creativity.

Dance, Yoga & Music Salsa, tango, and zumba are just a few of the fun dancing styles the campers will be learning. We'll also be using the dance studio to appreciate the benefits of yoga and forming our own creative musical band.

Schuylkill River Explorations Campers will take exploration trips on the Schuylkill River to participate in scavenger hunts, day hikes, and picnics. We will also use the path to travel safely to other parks and attractions.

Sports & Water Play TGT is working on a possible roof deck so our campers can safely play outside. We'll have water play to cool down from the summer heat as well as some outdoor games. With many parks in walking distance, we'll also be playing basketball, kickball and baseball.

Art techniques Campers will be learning to decoupage, make mosaic tiles, create sculptures and design landscape art. We'll be practicing these techniques and many more, while also learning about the history behind them.
