Led by Museum education staff, Camp Intrepid is created with the emotional and academic needs of the child in mind and is designed for students ages 5-13 years old. Weekly themes such as, aviation, life aboard Intrepid, marine science and space exploration, incorporate the exhibits and artifacts of the Museum in the unique, fun and educational environment of the former aircraft carrier. Younger campers experience hands- on learning activities, creative crafts and imaginative play, while the older campers are introduced to computer-assisted design and 3D printing, analyze artifacts and historic spaces and explore scientific concepts.
