oin NJAAS as we explore the world’s biodiversity and learn about animals like endangered sharks, seahorses and penguins! Through field trips, hands on activities, crafts, games, a 4D Theatre Show, up-close animal encounters, as well as behind the scenes and exhibit tours at Adventure Aquarium, your child will have a summer experience they won’t soon forget!
Week 1 – July 11 – 15: Totally Tall Trees and Awesome Algae – Children ages 7 – 12. $275 per week.
The UN has declared 2011 the International Year of the Forests, and without plants, we’d have a hard time surviving! They create oxygen, keep soil from eroding, provide wood for shelter and warmth, produce food, and even give us shade on a hot day. Celebrate plants, and the animals who love them, as we hike around the woods of the world and see why things that are green are just as important as those that, in the words of our favorite frog, “are red, or yellow, or gold…or something much more colorful than that…”
Week 2 – July 18 – 22: Wacky Wild Waves and Cool Currents - Children ages 7 – 12. $275 per week
What’s hiding just beneath the waves? Is there cool stuff traveling through the currents? Dive down below the ocean’s surface with us and explore the variety of life that calls this wet wild habitat home.
Junior Marine Biologists – July 25th – August 6th – Children ages 13-16. $600 for 2 weeks
Especially for our older, scientist-wanna-be campers, this 2-week experience includes trips into the field, behind the scenes tours at the Aquarium, hands on science activities, and glimpses into different biology careers. We’ll conclude the experience with an overnight camping trip in the Pinelands on Friday, August 5th (Pick up campers on Saturday, August 6th at 10am.)
Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9am – 3:30pm. Campers must bring their own lunch, but an afternoon snack will be provided.
