The Howard School’s Summer Programs are an extension of our mission to serve students with language learning disabilities and learning differences, as well as an opportunity for students of all learning abilities and AD/HD to experience The Howard School. Campers age 5 through High School will enjoy hands-on and minds-on experiences in Academic Explorations and Summer Adventures. Academic Explorations offer strengthening of fundamental academic skills in reading, written expression and math while strengthening social skills. Classes are taught by a certified Howard School lead teacher, using differentiated, multi-sensory methods that include technology, games and direct instruction. High School sessions for course credit, as well as specific Math skills, Assistive Technology, and social skills camps are also offered. We have a special transition program for rising 9th grade students to get familiar with the High School experience. Summer Adventures provide campers with innovative enrichment programs in sports, art, science and technology, including circus troupe, 3D animation, puppetry, video game design, improve theater, forensics, and sports camps taught by a former NBA player.
