As Tuesday (List Day) rolls around once more, we offer you a list of some our favorite children's book illustrators. Without further ado:

And for more ideas, see the wonderful book Artist to Artist: 23 Major Illustrators Talk to Children About Their Art by (of course!) the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art (which you absolutely must visit if you should ever happen to find yourself in Western Massachusetts).

Help us with this list! There are so many amazing illustrators, and it was very hard to choose -- which are your favorites?

I recently saw a special on the art of Denise Fleming. She has written and illustrated such gems as, "Count", "In the Tall, Tall, Grass" and "In the Small, Small Pond," among others. She creates all of her illustrations out of vibrant homemade paper pulp! Amazing and breathtaking. Nothing like knowing more about what goes on behind the scenes to help you fully appreciate an artist's work.
