You already know that we have a brilliant staff of local writers bringing you the very best inside scoop on life with a preschooler in cities big and small all across the U.S. and Canada (with more coming soon!).

You didn't know that, today, you have a new reason to thank this fabulous team of Being Savvy city editors:  they have brought you the kid-friendly airport scene in each of their cities!   Hooray!  And just in time for your summer jaunt.

Check out all of our local Being Savvy posts for the best tips for an airport you and your family might be zooming through (or rather, endlessly waiting through).  Check out the drop-down list entitled "Being Savvy near you" on the Savvy Source home page for all the local bests.  And more specificially:

Logging some hours in LAX?  Check out the "flying saucer" restaurant, Encounter, and other essentials in Los Angeles

Music City's essentials include such lifesavers as how to find the three live bands that play for Nashville airport travelers!  You're going to be hoping for a delay just to enjoy them!

You're going to want to make every layover through Logan Airport when you read the Boston guide highlighting "Kidport," the in-airport playspace by Boston Children's Museum.

Cruising through the capitol?  All three Washington DC area airports are covered in Being Savvy Washington DC's guide.

Eyeing the islands?  Start at Being Savvy Honolulu's guide to the hub for your island-hopping connections.

Cooling your heels in Columbus?  Peek here for a truly fantastic kiddie travel find -- your kiddos can get a blank postage-paid postcard to decorate with their travel adventures, and then kids mail the postcards back for display them at the airport!

Delayed in Denver?  Never fear; waiting ideas are here!

Amazing!  These airport guides from our local insiders just became your most essential summer travel trick!

United's gates at SFO has a children's play area with weather-related exhibits. Most of them were hand on and my boys loved it. It kept them busy for that extra 45 minutes we had to wait till boarding.

SFO's international terminal has weird sculptures to amuse and amaze. There's also some great food just outside security.
