Bathtub ABCs and 123s
ages 3-6
Supplies
Shaving cream
Activity Detail
Squirt shaving cream on the sides of the bathtub and have your child use his or her pointer finger to practice writing numbers and letters. They can 'erase' by smearing the shaving cream and starting over again.

Its fun to add other things from the pantry, e.g, pasta and chocolate chips to your works of art!

This activity is fun during bath time, but it can also be done with the kids in a dry bathtub.

Other Savvy parents recommend using this activity to create snowmen in the middle of summer and castles on the driveway. You can also add food coloring to the shaving cream for more colorful artistry or you can use whipped cream!

This is a nice way to practice writing or recognizing letters and shapes. A word of caution: make sure you child doesn't get the shaving cream in their eyes since it stings. If they do, simply rinse with cool water.
