Paper Clipping Art
ages 2-4
Supplies
Colored paper scraps, cardstock, child-safe scissors, glue
Activity Detail
When my toddler was learning to cut, I was constantly vacuuming up little paper clippings, until I came up with a creative use for them. Give your child scraps of colored paper and let them cut away. Gather up the clippings and have your child help you arrange them into different shapes and patterns on a piece of cardstock. Glue them down to the cardstock, creating a unique collage.

Good idea with what to do with those little clippings all over the carpet.

This is a nice impromptu activity for a rainy day when the kids can't go outside. It's great too since it "recycles" paper scraps and offers an opportunity to raise the whole idea of recycling with your kids.
