Explore the World
ages 3-6
Supplies
Map or globe, tiny "land-marker" stickers (stars or dots are great!)
Activity Detail
Hang a world map (or use a globe) and explore with your child important geographic landmarks such as the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, the North and South Poles and the seven continents. As your child begins to recognize these places, stick tiny stickers onto each landmark that your child can identify as a marker of where you've "been." Expand your explorations to places that you or a loved one has visited, or a place you and your child would like to visit.

We have already done this with my preschooler and it's amazing to see how many states and countries she is learning. You can also place stickers in places where your relatives and friends live.
