Non-toxic, washable, powdered tempera paint, baby shampoo
Activity Detail
Kids love to paint and will be so excited to paint their own body!! This activity is perfect for a warm day outside! To create your own body paint, combine non-toxic, washable powdered tempera paint and baby shampoo. Then head outside and let your child go to town painting himself and you, if you're brave!

We practiced combining primary colors, e.g. left hand yellow + right thigh blue makes green legs and hands. Very fun, and educational.

Great idea - just be sure you have your outdoor hose ready to squirt them off!

Tons of fun a colored bubbles to boot! We did this activity in our empty wading pool in the back yard, then hosed off and had colorful bubble water to play in.
