Target Practice
ages 1-6
Supplies
A large bowl or bucket and a ball.
Activity Detail
Put a large non-breakable bowl or bucket on the ground and ask your child to throw a ball in it. If she gets the ball in, ask her to take a step back and try again. See how far away she can be and still hit the target. For summer time fun, fill the bowl with water for fun splashing.
Comments
A bean-bag or something that doesn't bounce too much works well for younger kids - otherwise they get excited that they get the ball into the bowl, just to be disappointed that it bounces out again.

Since the game goes so fast it is also a great way for siblings to learn to take turns.
