DIY Mr. Potato Head
ages 3-6
Supplies
raw potatoes any household items for decorating: buttons, tissue, fabric or food: marshmallows, raisins, grapes, other fruit pieces
Activity Detail
Take an uncooked, unpeeled potato and have your child decorate it with any interesting items you can find about the house: buttons, raisins, marshmallows, tissue paper, fabric. Your child can even make features out of playdough. Use pieces of toothpicks to fasten everything on.

A piece of toothpick could be used to carve lines in the potato to represent hair.
