This is an excellent way to provide vestibular stimulation for your little one. As they develop their sense of balance they are also making connections between the hemispheres of their brain which improves learning. If you have another adult, you can also do some "hammocking" with your child. Each adult gathers the ends of one side of the blanket and swing your child gently side to side like they are swinging in a hammock. This is fun to do to a lullaby CD!

This is a great activity for babies. It helps them develop balance and learn through exploring places they might not otherwise go.
