Shell Painting
ages 3-6
Supplies
Seashells (white seashells work best for this project), paintbrush, tempera or acrylic paint, clear acrylic spray (optional)
Activity Detail
Collect seashells (or buy a small bag from the craft store) of all shapes and sizes....white shells work best for this craft! Make sure the shells are clean and dry and then let your child paint each shell. For some extra shine, spray the shells with clear acrylic spray when the paint has dried.
Comments
This is a nice use for shells, especially if you use shells you actually found with your child on the beach. That way, you and your child are able to create a unique remembrance of your experience on the beach together.
