Decorating with Holiday Cards
ages 4-6
Supplies
Holiday cards; hole punch; string, ribbon, or yarn.
Activity Detail
Here's a fun Christmas-time activity: Punch a hole in each holiday card that your receive and attach them to a piece of ribbon, yarn or string. Be sure to space them a few inches apart so that they all can be seen. Once you've strung all of the cards onto your ribbon or string, hang up the cards as a 'garland' on your banister, on your tree, or as a decoration around a vanity mirror. You and the kids can trim them down to a uniform size and cut them in various shapes or just leave them as is. The kids will love seeing their friends around the house!
Comments
This activity can be done with cards throughout the year. We make mobiles and scrapbook with the sturdy and beautiful pictures we cut out of cards from birthdays, Easter and other special occasions.

I think everyone has a Christmas Card Holder or a standard place to put them once receiving them in the mail.

This would also be fun to do with birthday cards -- a fun reminder of the child's special day.
