More Fun with "Old MacDonald"
ages 0-4
Supplies
Just your voice, a kid or some kids, and a desire to be creative with an old song.
Activity Detail
After we've exhausted all of the animals we can think of while singing "Old MacDonald," we add tractors, crops (such as apples or tomatoes), puddles or ponds, etc. and stretch our creativity thinking of sounds to go with them. The kids love coming up with silly sounds to go along with all of the different things.

Other Savvy parents recommend singing a version of "Old MacDonald" with your child's plastic animal toys, called "Your old mommy had a zoo."

This is a great idea! We have to sing this every night to our daughter as part of her bedtime routine, and this is a nice way to freshen it up a bit.
