Walk the Numbers
ages 3-6
Supplies
Cardboard or construction paper, pencil or marker, scissors
Activity Detail
Trace each of your child's feet onto a piece of cardboard or construction paper and have him or her help you cut out a number of copies of both. Then write a number (1, 2, 3, etc.) on each one, and lay them out in different patterns on the floor. Challenge/teach your child to step on his/her own feet in numerical order, ascending or descending. This teaches your child to follow a sequence and become familiar with number recognition.
