Christmas Ornament Hand Print

ages 2-6

Supplies

Plain ball ornament (silver looks great), white tempera paint, thin permanent markers in all colors.

Activity Detail

This is a great memento from the holiday season. Dip your child's hand in white paint and press their palm to the bottom of the ball ornament. Then have them wrap their fingers up the side of the ball. Their fingers make the shape of snowmen, while their palm looks like the snow covered ground. Using thin permanent markers, complete the snowmen with hats, eyes, carrot nose, scarves, and stick arms. You can get creative with these. Then on the back side of the ball write your childs name and year it was made. My son brought this home from school, but I love it so much I plan to make them every year with all of my kids!
