Popsicle Stick Picture Frame

ages 3-6

Popsicle sticks or tongue depressors, glue, silver spray paint, picture of your child, wagon wheel pasta or trinkets from the craft store, small piece of posterboard

Activity Detail

This is a cute way to dress up a basic popsicle stick frame. To make the frame, start by gluing popsicle sticks (or larger tongue depressors) together. Two popsicle sticks for each side makes a cute small square frame. Lay two popsicle sticks down for both the top and the bottom, then glue two popsicle sticks on each side to make a square. Allow to dry, then have your child glue on wagon wheel pasta or little trinkets from the craft store. Allow to dry then spray paint it with silver spray paint. This makes the frame look like a real picture frame! Mount a small picture of your child (a black and white photo makes it look even fancier) onto a small square of posterboard then glue that to the frame. Voila! A cute keepsake that looks really beautiful.
