Jump Inside the Circle

ages 2-6

Activity Detail

Best played with a group of children. Have everyone sit in a large circle facing each other. One adult describes a child in the circle using visual clues, and everyone tries to guess which child it is. Example: "This person is wearing a red sweater and blue pants, and has flip flops on." When the children guess who it is, that child stands up and jumps up and down inside the circle to the chant: "Jump inside the circle, the circle, the circle. Jump inside the circle, please sit down!" Continue until each child has had a turn.

This would be really fun for younger kids. Older kids could actually describe the person they want to, or say the first letter of the child's name.
