Number Plates

ages 2-4

Plain paper plate, marker, beans or buttons

Activity Detail

Practice counting with this easy activity. Draw lines on a plain paper plate to divide it into 4 or 8 wedges. Write consecutive numbers in the wedges (1 through 4 or 1 through 8). Have your child count out and glue the corresponding number of beans or buttons in each wedge.

To add a new twist, your child could color the paper plate like a pizza and pretend that the beans/buttons are toppings! You could cut the wedges out like slices.

In a restaurant you could put sugar packets in each place.
