Lunch Bag Pumpkins

ages 2-6

Brown lunch sack; newspaper; tape; orange, green, and black paint.

Activity Detail

Begin by stuffing a brown lunch sack with newspaper. Then twist the top closed and secure with tape. Next, help your child to paint the bottom section of the sack orange and the top green for a stem. Once the orange paint is dry, let your child use black paint to draw lines down the side of the pumpkin. This is fun to do on a chilly afternoon and then add to your dinner table that evening as a centerpiece.

You can also tear long strips off of another bag and twist them into "vines". Attach them to the pumpkin stem with a rubber band or twist tie.
